P22 Portable Pump Monitor

For investigative work and regular measurements of pump performance. Robertson Technology and their representatives offer test and analysis services, employing this equipment.

An immersion temperature probe and a pressure probe are connected to the suction side of a pump, via a T-piece and a gate valve in a tapping point. Similar probes are connected to the discharge side. For some situations, for example higher temperatures and pressures, thermowells are required for the temperature probes.

The probes can be operated from a battery or a mains supply. The sensor signals are digitised in the probe handles, and data is returned to a notebook computer via a half-duplex RS485 interface with MODBUS protocol, either by cable or wirelessly. A power meter provides the additional information for calculation of flow rate. The data is analysed and displayed by a software program in the notebook computer.

Multiple pumps can be analysed simultaneously with just one notebook computer.
